Frequently Asked Questions

Some of the things people most commonly ask before reaching out. If your question isn't here, the free consultation is the best place to get an answer.

  • A few things set this practice apart. Sessions are 90 minutes — typically double the time of a standard clinic visit — and every session is one-on-one with Ronnie, not split across multiple patients. She intentionally limits the number of clients she sees each day so she can give each person her full attention. Care comes to you: your home, your gym, wherever you need it. There are no waiting rooms and no insurance restrictions shaping what she can or can't do. And the relationship doesn't end when the session does — clients have direct access to Ronnie between appointments.

  • Concierge PT means the care comes to you, and the experience is built entirely around your needs — not a clinic schedule, not insurance limitations. Mobile means Ronnie travels to your home, your recreational environment, or wherever makes most sense for your treatment. It's a model that prioritises depth, personalisation, and convenience.

  • A Therapeutic Pain Specialist is a post-graduate certification in evidence-based pain science. It's an advanced qualification that goes beyond standard PT training — equipping practitioners to understand and treat the neurological, psychological, and lifestyle dimensions of persistent pain, not just the physical mechanics. Ronnie earned her TPS certification through Evidence in Motion.

  • No. Valley Fix PT is a private-pay practice. This is a deliberate choice: insurance restrictions often limit session length, the number of body areas that can be treated, and the overall approach to care. By operating outside of insurance, Ronnie can provide the full scope of care she believes is right for each client. The cost of sessions reflects 90 minutes of fully personalised, specialist care delivered to your door.

  • Initial evaluations and follow-up sessions are both 90 minutes. Some longevity-focused sessions may be 60 minutes depending on the client's needs and goals — this is discussed during the consultation.

  • Yes. This is one of the most important things Ronnie wants people to know: meaningful improvement is possible at any age and at any stage of a pain journey. Progress takes time, trust, and the right approach — but it is absolutely possible, including for people who have seen multiple providers without success. Many of Ronnie's most meaningful client outcomes have been with people who came to her having nearly given up.

  • Not at all. The evidence is clear: physical capacity — strength, power, balance, endurance — responds to appropriate training at any age. Ronnie works with active adults in their 60s, 70s, and 80s who continue to make meaningful progress. The key is training the right systems, in the right way, consistently.

  • Your first session is 90 minutes and starts with a detailed conversation — your history, your goals, what you've tried, what matters to you. Ronnie then conducts a thorough movement analysis and physical assessment. At the end, she shares her findings, her thinking, and the outline of a plan. There's no rush and nothing is left vague.

  • Yes. For clients who aren't located in the Vail Valley, or who prefer virtual sessions, telehealth is available across all services. Ronnie recommends that the initial evaluation be done in person where possible, but follow-up care works well remotely for many clients. Many clients have found telehealth sessions feel very similar to in-person care, except for sessions where hands-on treatment is the primary focus.

  • The first step is a free phone consultation — a relaxed conversation about what you're dealing with and whether Valley Fix PT is the right fit. No commitment required.
