Meet Dr. Ronnie Kiek, PT, DPT, TPS

Dr. Ronnie Kiek is an exceptional physical therapist and certified Therapeutic Pain Specialist (TPS) in the Vail Valley. She specializes in pain relief for both acute injuries and individuals living with persistent, long-term pain. Her expertise also includes recovery, sports assessments, and injury prevention for adults who are navigating age-related changes and want to improve their balance, strength and power.
After receiving her Bachelor in Exercise Science from Colorado Mesa University, Ronnie earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Colorado, one of the leading programs in the country. As a professional Alpine skier for 13 years, Ronnie qualified for three World Championships, including Beaver Creek in 2015.
If you’ve been struggling with persistent pain and feel like nothing has worked, or have been told your pain is “all in your head,” Dr. Kiek’s TPS training offers a different approach. Using evidence-based pain science, she helps clients understand the drivers of their pain and creates personalized plans to reduce it and regain control of their lives.
Ronnie has created ValleyFIX PT due to a strong desire to develop a more comprehensive, personalized health care that treats clients as a whole. “Being able to work with clients while seeing them go past their pain, reach their goals, and thrive in their activities is one of the most meaningful experiences I have as a human,” says Dr. Kiek.
Personal Bio
Being a professional Alpine skier for 13 years, Ronnie got up on multiple international podiums in Europe. She has learned many great life lessons from ski racing, which has taught her to stay determined, patient and kind to one another. Although she no longer races and is now a Doctor of Physical Therapy, skiing is still a major part in her life. In her free time, she enjoys skiing, skinning, hiking, spending time with her friends and family, and volunteering.
